Athlete Development Program

Physiotherapy Centre Bendigo has joined Bendigo South East College’s exciting Athlete Development Program for 2015 and beyond. This program offers students from year 7 to 10, a complete sports education and training program, which assists students to achieve excellence in sporting and academic fields.

Physiotherapy Centre Bendigo’s Alex Galea attends the school two mornings per week, completing physiotherapy assessments for injured athletes, as well as general musculoskeletal assessments, for high achieving athletes. Suitable rehabilitation and injury prevention programs are then established in conjunction with the APD’s highly qualified staff. These programs are then implemented into each athletes overall, individual, training program. Although injuries will always be a part of sport, these processes help students stay as fit and healthy as possible, which is ultimately crucial for each athletes development and achievements. Alex is proud to be involved in such well ran program, which is helping young athletes pursue their sporting goals.
